The Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced
millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
What You'll Learn
- Our Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic
principles of scuba diving - Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!
If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills
you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full Open Water Diver course
certification.
Prerequisites
- To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must
- Be 10 years or older (E-Learning requires a minimum age of 13 years due to
international internet laws)
The Fun Part
- The fun part about this course is... well, just about all of it. Learning to dive is incredible.
You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you
need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool
dives and four dives under the supervision of your Instructor.
Get College Credit
- You may be able to earn recreation/elective college credit for the Open Water Dive as
recommended by A.C.E.
Pricing
- Pricing can vary depending which course option you enroll in. Whether you choose online,
group classes or a private, rest assured you will receive the same great values included with
your tuition such as:
- Course Materials
- Instructor Fees
- Park Fees
- Certification Fees
- Scuba Equipment for Dives ( BCD, Regulator, Tanks, Air )
- Lifetime Certification through PADI, NAUI, or IDEA
- Standard Group Class - $285.00 +tax per person
Online Study - $360.00 +tax per person
- You study on your own time at your pace from the comfort of your home or work or
wherever your computer is. Then join one of our already scheduled classes for your pool
training and open water dives.
- Private 1 on 1 course - $425.00 +tax per person (discounts when you
bring a friend)
- The private course is the same as a standard course except:
- Private Classes just for you. One on One with an Instructor.
- Scheduling that will fit your needs as you set the pace.
The Equipment You Need
- Scuba quality mask, fins, snorkel & weights. (All of which are available for purchase through us at discounted prices)
- Wetsuits are highly recommended but not required
